Job summary

Prosperity Care and Wellbeing Ltd in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a dedicated support worker to assist a friendly young man in his late 20s with complex needs and mobility support.

You will help with personal care, medication, mobility and physiotherapy, supervision of daily activities, and join in outings. Full training is provided, and a day-to-day routine includes varied shifts with ongoing supervision and cameras for safety. A valid UK driving licence is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Must have UK full clean driving licence.
• Experience in health and social care preferred.
• Willingness to complete shadow shifts and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist personal care and support with medications and physiotherapy.
• Assist with manual handling and day-to-day activities.
• Offer supervision and companionship during outings and activities.

Shift Pattern : 8:00 am – 23:00 pm plus sleep-in from 11:00 pm – 7:30 am, followed by a morning shift from 7:30 am – 08:00 am

About the Person You’ll Be Supporting & Your Role

You’ll be supporting a friendly and outgoing young gentleman in his late 20s who lives at home with his family and several dogs. He requires assistance with specialist manual handling, personal care, medication, physiotherapy, as well as close supervision due to self-directed challenging behaviors. The service is equipped with cameras for monitoring, and full training will be provided.

You’ll also complete shadow shifts to get familiar with the role - 2 morning shifts, 2 afternoon shifts, and one full day as lead - to ensure seamless support during his active and varied routine. He enjoys boxing, sailing, skiing, attending a brain-injury café, and visiting a dog hotel, so you’ll accompany him on these outings. Being energetic,
