DRIVER ESSENTIAL - Support Worker Role at Mencap in Redruth

Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our team in Redruth.

As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will work with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. Your responsibilities include assisting with daily activities and providing emotional support, playing a vital role in their lives.

Daily activities may include carriage driving, dance classes, volunteering, beach walks, café trips, power boating, and swimming. Every day offers something new in this active household where there is always something happening!

We support 4 people within one household who get along very well, with a range of different needs.

What we're looking for

• A genuine passion for supporting others.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

This role requires you to be a driver.

Contract options

• All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can plan your personal and social life!

Part-time: 25 hours

Shift times

• All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can plan your personal and social life!

Day shifts between 07:30-22:00, with split shifts ending at 15:30/16:00 or starting at 15:30-16:00. Sleep-ins from 22:00-09:00, with an enhanced flat rate payment of £62.45 for sleep-in shifts.

*All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
