Support Worker Redruth (Temporary Contract)

DRIVER ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE

Calling compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking 2 passionate Female Support Workers who can drive to join our incredible team in Redruth. We have 2 x 30 hour, temporary contracts available (to cover maternity leave).

As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.

Daily activities can include carriage driving, dance classes, volunteering jobs, walks along the beach, café trips, power boating, and swimming. Every day is a new day at this service! It is a very active house, where there is always something going on!

We support 4 people within one household who all get along very well, with a range of different needs.

What we're looking for:

• A genuine passion for supporting others.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

This role requires you to be a driver, due to the active lifestyle the people we support lead.

Contract options:

Part-time: 30 hours

All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!

Days: Between 07:30-22:00, Split shifts also available finishing at 15:30/16:00, or starting at 15:30/16:00.

There is also a sleep-in available where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £62.45.
