Job summary

Active Care Group is recruiting support workers for Applewood Lodge in Stafford. Roles are available full-time or part-time (days or nights) with flexibility to ensure home operations run smoothly.

Training and development opportunities are provided in a trauma-informed care setting for young people. The salary is £27,766.15 per year for full-time roles, pro rata for part-time hours, with benefits including 25 days’ leave, pension, and health plan options.

Qualifications

• Aged 21 years or older.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Childcare or working towards.
• UK residency of at least 3 years.
• Minimum 9 months' childcare experience, especially with mental health/trauma.
• Driving licence and ability to drive desirable.

Responsibilities

• Engage and connect with children and young people to build rapport.
• Provide daily living support including mealtimes and personal care as needed.
• Ensure safety and continuity by reporting issues to the Team Leader.
• Maintain accurate records of activities and interventions.
