Support Worker/Personal Assistant – Ettrick

A lady in Ettrick is looking for a personal assistant to spend time with her for a few hours throughout the week to give her social and emotional support and assist with general care needs throughout the visit if/when required.

Terms:

• Hours of work: Total of 4 hours per week, doing a 2-hour block over 2 days
• £14.50 per hour.
• Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
• Probationary period of 6 months
• Post subject to references and PVG scheme membership

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

• To support client to ensure their safety and well-being.

To support with general care needs as/when required including:

• Personal care assistance
• Meal and drink preparation.
• To develop a positive relationship with the client and work as part of a team.

• Supporting routines that promote wellbeing and independence in the home
