Self Employed Care Assistant for a lady 24hr @ £18.92/ph in Berwick-upon-Tweed - BERWICK-UPON-TWEED - TD15

Personal Assistant / Support Worker - Berwick-upon-Tweed

£18.92 per hour | Driver Essential

A friendly, retired professional lady in the Berwick area is looking for two reliable and caring Personal Assistants to provide support with daily living and household tasks.

This role would suit someone who enjoys helping others maintain their independence and has an interest in animals, nature, the outdoors or the arts.

Pet lovers are encouraged to apply, as the employer has cats and dogs.

Main Duties

• Meal preparation and kitchen support
• Shopping and household organisation
• Medication prompting
• Support with bathing preparation and hair washing
• Light domestic tasks
• Assistance with paperwork and basic computer use
• Supporting access to the community, including driving to appointments and outings
• Assisting with wheelchair use when required

About You

You will be:

• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
• Caring and respectful of confidentiality
• Able to follow instructions and use your own initiative
• Comfortable around cats and dogs
• Interested in supporting someone to remain independent in their own home

Essential Requirements

• Full UK driving licence
• Access to a vehicle
• Pet friendly

Hours

• Up to 24 hours per week over 3 days for each worker
• Part-time applications considered
• Additional hours available for holiday and sickness cover
• Some evening and weekend working required
• Flexible working patterns can be discussed

Training & Experience

Previous experience in care, support work or personal assistance is desirable but not essential. Full guidance and training will be provided where needed.

Further Information

Enhanced DBS required (paid for by the employer).

Pay: £18.92 per hour
