CrossReach Trading Ltd. is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to assist adults with learning disabilities in our Community Support and Holiday Service. You will help people build confidence, access work, education and leisure, and accompany them on holidays.
We value person-centred support, dignity, and teamwork. Training is provided, and PVG/SSSC checks are part of the role, with a focus on inclusive, respectful care.
As a Support Worker in our Community Support and Holiday Service, you'll help adults with learning disabilities build confidence, develop independence and enjoy fulfilling lives. From supporting people to access work, education and leisure opportunities to accompanying them on holidays, you'll help make every day meaningful.
You'll be caring, enthusiastic and passionate about helping people live full and independent lives. You'll enjoy building relationships, working creatively and encouraging people to try new experiences. You'll have good communication skills, basic IT skills and enjoy working as part of a supportive team.
Experience in social care is welcomed but not essential, as full training will be provided. You will hold, or be willing to achieve, an SVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Social Care (depending on the role), or an equivalent qualification that meets Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registration requirements. Experience or a qualification in supporting autistic people would be welcomed but isn't essential. This role requires membership of the PVG Scheme and registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
At CrossReach, you'll join a supportive team where your ideas are valued and your development matters. Every day brings the opportunity to help someone achieve something important to them.
If you're ready to help people live life to the fullest, we'd love to hear from you.
We also offer you a range of benefits that you would expect from an organisation that support others.
CrossReach has been at the forefront of high quality social care for over 150 years, providing loving care to people of all ages and supporting them to live life to the full whatever their circumstances.

We are still growing, learning, and improving, thanks to the incredible people we have the privilege to support, and all those who support us. We are part of the Church of Scotland and aim to provide social care services and specialist resources in Christ’s name to further the caring work of the Church to people in challenging circumstances.
As we do our work in Christ’s name you must be respectful of our Christian Ethos and be able to work within it.
This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.

We are committed to ensuring that we attract, retain, and develop the very best people to build a diverse and talented team and we recognise that every individual’s unique background, experience and ability contributes to our success.
