Job summary

Priory Group in Scotland is seeking a Night Support Worker for Newhouse, near Kilmarnock. This permanent, full-time role covers 42 hours per week with night shifts on a 4/3 pattern.

Newhouse provides residential support for adults with learning disabilities, some with mental health needs or autism, in a semi-rural setting. You will work with a compassionate team, delivering personal care, supporting activities, and helping residents move toward their personal goals, while maintaining records and

  • Experience in care or support work is desirable, but training provided.

  • Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks.
  • Encourage and assist participation in activities and community life.
  • Support service users in achieving their personal outcomes in the way they choose.
  • Maintain accurate records, care plans, charts, and daily notes.
  • Build positive relationships with service users, families, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Uphold safety, security, and confidentiality in line with policies and regulations.
  • Act as a key worker for individuals, helping them to set goals and track progress.
  • Promote choice, independence, and involvement at all times.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing ideas and suggestions

Full Time - 42 hours

Newhouse has an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our team. This role is for night shifts with 4 shifts for one week, and 3 shifts for the next.

Newhouse is located in the semi-rural village of Hurlford, near Kilmarnock, Scotland. Our home offers residential support for 22 adults with a primary learning disability diagnosis, who may also have mental health needs or be on the autism spectrum.

We can also support those who have:

  • Physical health needs
  • Difficulties with communication
  • Mild to moderate behaviours that may challenge
  • Epilepsy
What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents
