Job summary

The National Autistic Society is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker at Clayton Brook House in Accrington, Lancashire. This part-time role offers 18 hours per week to support autistic adults following individual care plans and daily routines.

You will assist with personal care and encourage activities people enjoy, while upholding safeguarding and high-quality care. A driving licence is preferred, and training including autism awareness is provided.

Qualifications

  • Inspire others with a positive attitude towards supporting vulnerable people.
  • Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential.
  • Personal experience or a passion for helping others is welcome.

Responsibilities

About the Service

Clayton Brook House in Accrington, Lancashire, is a specialist residential service for autistic adults who have additional learning disabilities or other complex needs. We offer high quality packages of care and support which enable people to develop their independence and make the most of the many opportunities available to them.

About the Role

We are looking for caring and reliable Support Workers. Your role is to help people live their best lives by following their support plans and daily routines.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, eating)
  • Encourage activities they enjoy (swimming, hiking, arts & crafts)

This advert is for a part-time position at 18 hours per week.

Possession of a driving licence (minimum one year)ispreferred.
