Job summary

The National Autistic Society in Neath is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help four autistic adults live their best lives by following personalised support plans at Pale Road.

The role is part-time (27 hours per week) with evening and weekend work. You will assist with personal care, encourage activities, and a driving licence is preferred. The NAS offers a pension, generous annual leave, training, discounts, healthcare, flexible benefits, and more.

About the Service

Pale Road in Neath, Wales, is a specialist service that provides 24 hour residential support for four autistic adults with moderate to complex behavioural needs.

About the Role

We are looking for caring and reliable Support Workers. Your role is to help people live their best lives by following their support plans and daily routines.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, eating)
  • Encourage activities they enjoy (swimming, hiking, arts & crafts)
What We’re Looking For
  • For you to inspire others with a positive attitude towards supporting vulnerable people
  • Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential
  • Personal experience or a passion for helping others is welcome

This advert is for a part time position at 27 hours per week.

Your working pattern in this role will require flexibility to meet the needs of the people supported and their families and will include evening and weekend working.

Possession of a driving licence (minimum one year) is preferred.
