Job summary

Blyth Star Enterprises Limited is seeking a Support Worker for Living Support Services to participate in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care and support for people in community settings. The role requires a commitment to person-centred care, working as part of a team, and night-shift flexibility.

The post is based in Blyth, with a full-time, on-site pattern and a salary from £28,029 per year. A driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with people with enduring mental health problems is an advantage.
• Commitment to undertake appropriate training is essential.
• Ability to work in a team and also independently.
• Commitment to person-centred care and to Mental Health Recovery model is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Participate in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care and support.
• Communicate effectively with clients and families to promote personalised care plans.
• Support clients in daily living and monitor mental health and coping strategies.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver care and support.
