Are you looking for a new and exciting job opportunity?

Mencap is opening a new service in Loughborough and is recruiting enthusiastic and proactive Support Workers. We have full-time and part-time positions, and applications are welcome from all interested candidates. Support workers will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £61.20 for sleep-in shifts, which is non-contractual. Shifts are on a rota basis, including weekdays, weekends, bank holidays, mornings, afternoons, evenings, and sleep-ins.

What does a Support Worker do?

• Supporting people to live independently – managing budgets, paying bills, housework, organizing appointments, and cooking healthy meals.
• Excellent communication skills and relationship building – supporting individuals to understand their environment and promoting positive relationships.
• Community & Social Inclusion – helping individuals access and participate in community activities to promote life skills and personal development.
• Personal care – assisting with daily routines, medication, bathing, showering, and toileting. Not all roles include high levels of personal care.
