Job description

Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our incredible team in the Tuebrook area of Liverpool, where we support 3 ladies 24/7 within their own home.

As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.

From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their lives.

You will be supporting 3 females between the ages of 38-50 years old. All people we support are active, access the community daily, and have a positive presence in the local community.

What we're looking for:

• A genuine passion for supporting others.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

We also need drivers with a full UK driving licence and your own vehicle.

Contract options:

• Part-time: 30 hours per week with flexible hours based on availability.

Shift times:

You will be required to work sleep-in shifts from 10pm-10am (sleep from 8am-10am), day shifts from 10am-6pm and 10am-4pm, and evening shifts depending on activities. This is an active service, requiring staff to work occasional evenings for activities like theatre shows. We operate on a four-week rolling rota, providing a minimum of 8 weeks' notice for your schedule, supporting work-life balance.
