Job summary

Lifeways in Leicester is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to make a big impact every day. You’ll build positive relationships and support individuals to achieve goals, maintain wellbeing, and engage in meaningful activities.

Candidates with prior experience supporting adults with learning disabilities are preferred. You should stay calm, proactive, and provide safe, respectful, and consistent care across shift patterns on a rota basis.

Responsibilities

• Promote independence, dignity, and positive engagement in daily activities.
• Provide personal care, including prompting with self-care routines and assisting with washing.
• Prepare meals and drinks in line with preferences and dietary needs.

Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for candidates with previous experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and who can remain calm, proactive, and positive in their approach.

Shift pattern

• Days shifts: 7am-2.30pm and 2.30pm-10pm
• Waking night: 10pm-7am
• You must be flexible to work all shifts on a rota basis Monday to Sunday.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote independence, dignity, and positive engagement in daily activities.
• Provide personal care for females and males, including prompting with self‑care routines and assisting with washing during bathing.
• Prepare meals and drinks in line with preferences and dietary needs.
