Job summary

Lifeways Group in Leicester is seeking Support Workers to help people with learning disabilities live independently and with dignity. You will build positive relationships and support goals, wellbeing and meaningful activities.

We require candidates with prior experience in similar roles and a calm, proactive, and positive approach. Shifts include day and night rotas in a role that makes a genuine difference.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities in a care setting.
• Patient, understanding and confident in approach to support.
• Commitment to safe, respectful and consistent support.

Responsibilities

• Promote independence, dignity and positive engagement in daily activities.
• Provide personal care for individuals, including prompting with self-care routines and assisting with washing during bathing.
• Prepare meals and drinks in line with preferences and dietary needs.

Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for candidates with previous experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and who can remain calm, proactive, and positive in their approach.

Shift pattern

• Days shifts: 7am-2.30pm and 2.30pm-10pm
• Waking night: 10pm-7am
• You must be flexible to work all shifts on a rota basis Monday to Sunday.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote independence, dignity, and positive engagement in daily activities.
• Provide personal care for females and males, including prompting with self‑care routines and assisting with washing during bathing.
• Prepare meals and drinks in line with preferences and dietary needs.
