Job summary

Lifeways Group in Leicester is seeking Female Support Workers to make a big impact in the lives of the people we support. You will help individuals achieve goals, foster wellbeing, and engage in meaningful activities across a rota of day and waking-night shifts.

The role involves promoting independence, providing personal care, assisting with meals, and supporting daily routines with patience and compassion. Prior experience with learning disabilities is valued, and sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities.
• Ability to stay calm, proactive and positive in challenging situations.
• Willingness to work rota including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Promote independence, dignity, and positive engagement in daily activities.
• Provide personal care for individuals, including assistance with self-care and bathing.
• Prepare meals and drinks in line with preferences and dietary needs.

Job Description

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference every day, building positive relationships and supporting the individual to achieve their goals, maintain their wellbeing, and engage in meaningful activities. Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for candidates with previous experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and who can remain calm, proactive, and positive in their approach.

Shift pattern

• Days shifts: 7am-2.30pm and 2.30pm-10pm
• Waking night: 10pm-7am
• You must be flexible to work all shifts on a rota basis Monday to Sunday.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote independence, dignity, and positive engagement in daily activities.
• Provide personal care for females and males, including prompting with self‑care routines and assisting with washing during bathing.
• Prepare meals and drinks in line with preferences and dietary needs.
