Job summary

Cartref Ni is seeking a Support Worker to provide essential overnight waking night support for a lady living in Flint. You will ensure safety, comfort and wellbeing through the night, promoting independence and dignity and collaborating with day staff for seamless care.

Experience with learning disabilities is welcome but not essential; full induction and ongoing support will be provided. Role requires female driver and involves occasional travel for training in Flintshire and St Asaph.

Qualifications

• Female candidate required due to care needs.
• Overnight waking night experience preferred but not essential; full induction and training provided.

Responsibilities

• Pay rates up to £15.50 per hour (see detail at the bottom of the ad)

We are looking for a Support Worker to provide essential overnight support as waking night staff for a lady living in Flint. You will play a key role in ensuring her safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the night, while always promoting independence and dignity. You will work collaboratively with day staff to ensure continuity of care as she enjoys a variety of activities each week including pedal power, bowling, meeting friends in the pub, lunch out and coffee and cake at local cafes.

Any experience with learning disabilities would be great, but is not essential as full induction, training and ongoing support will be provided. However this role does require a female member of staff who is a driver.

Please note you will work and attend meetings in Flintshire, with only very occasional travel to the office in St Asaph for training.

Pay rates

• Basic rate, for those working towards adult social care qualification - £13.45
• For those with Level 2 adult social care qualification - £13.85
• For those with Level 3 adult social care qualification - £14.50
• Waking nights - £15.50
