Join Capability Scotland as a Support Worker where you will provide essential care and support to individuals with disabilities. Junction 52 is a day service where we support 51 customers on a daily basis to ensure that all health and emotional needs are met. We offer a wide range of therapeutic, educational, and recreational activities including our new digital hub which supports customers by providing access to new technologies such as VR, 3D Printing and immersive technologies with the aim of utilising them for new business.
About the Role
We are currently looking to recruit Support Workers to join our team on both permanent and relief bases to help provide a safe, caring environment for customers with disabilities. You will provide personal care, and assist customers with aspects of their general welfare. You will be required to undertake a key working role and work with the Team Leaders to provide the best possible service. The role will also involve health related practices including administration of medication, care planning and dynamic risk assessments.
Our fabulous service is one where we leave our inhibitions at the door, we dance, sing and enjoy hosting events, such as sports days, karaoke Friday and bingo chippy’s. This means candidates will need to be outgoing and confident communicators to help our customers thrive in this setting.
Ideally we are looking for candidates with experience in a traditional day centre setting, who are energetic and able to use their initiative.
Hours: 32.5 hours per week - Monday - Friday 8.45am - 4.15pm with occasional weekend work, supporting our customers with trips, outings and events.
We also have relief/bank positions available.
Driving licence preferred to enable you to escort our customers in our adapted vehicle.
