New Chapters is seeking an experienced full-time support worker to assist vulnerable adults in a supported living setting in the Lockleaze area. You will help residents develop independent living skills in a safe, friendly environment with a strong team.

Requirements include a full UK driving licence and experience supporting adults with autism, learning disabilities, epilepsy or challenging behaviours. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as a support worker in a supported living setting.
• Ability to work with people with mental health concerns and challenging behaviour.
• Good basic English literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
• Full driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Responsabilités

• Encourage participation in activities and interests of the people supported.
• Coordinate scheduled activities using personalised rotas and attended appointments.
• Assist with personal care while preserving dignity and privacy.
• Apply behaviour management strategies when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and update care plans.
