Job summary

Blue Triangle in Oban is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help provide safe, secure, supported accommodation for local people using our services.

You will work as part of a team, offering practical and emotional support to help individuals achieve personal outcomes, on a 35-hour weekly rota over four weeks, with a permanent contract and opportunities for training, development and a wide benefits package.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for helping people.
• 1 year experience with vulnerable people preferable.
• Commitment to SSSC code of practice and National Care Standards.
• Ability to relate empathetically and respect choice and independence.
• Ability to work flexibly and as a lone worker.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, secure, supported accommodation for homeless people as part of a team.
• Monitor and review progress using case management systems to achieve person-centred outcomes.
• Maintain/update recording systems and occupancy documentation within required timelines.
• Plan and facilitate key work meetings and reviews with the person's support plan.
• Offer general advocacy and guidance to help meet occupancy conditions.
