Job summary

Adferiad in Carmarthenshire is developing a new Supported Living project in the Ammanford area, with shared accommodation for individuals who require housing, wellbeing support and independent living skills. Staff will primarily be based at the Ammanford project but may work at the Adferiad Llanelli project.

The role focuses on helping service users build strengths, improve wellbeing, and live safely in the community with a seven-day rota including unsocial hours and sleep-ins.

Role Purpose: This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of our dedicated Adferiad team working in the provision of a Supported Living Service(s).

Adferiad in Carmarthenshire provides a Supported Accommodation Project in Llanelli and will be developing another Supported Living Service in the Ammanford area of Carmarthenshire.

The new project will be shared accommodation for individuals who have a mental health illness, learning disability, brain damage and/or other support needs and intend making this project their home for life by having support to meet their housing, wellbeing needs and their aspirations.The main location for recruited staff will be at the new project in the Ammanford Area but staff will have the opportunity to work in the Adferiad Llanelli project.

The support in Adferiad projects will focus on an individuals strengths enabling them to feel safe and secure with the long-term aim of them living independently in their own home.

Staff are to work with service users in areas such as employment, training and education, debt management and daily living skills to promote wellbeing, a healthy lifestyle and independence to live in their community.

The new Supported Living Services and Llanelli Supported Accommodation Project will be staffed 7 days a week and staff work to a shift pattern which includes unsocial hours and sleep-ins.
