Job summary

Priority, part of Orbis Education & Care, is hiring a Support Worker for a four-bedroom home near Bridgend. The role runs a rolling two-week rota with wake and sleep nights in a warm, supportive environment for adults with diverse needs.

You’ll contribute to daily living tasks, build trusting relationships, and help individuals grow independence through tailored support. Full training is provided; DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

• A caring, patient and resilient approach to supporting others.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do mindset.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and waking nights as part of a rota.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to learn — full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with daily needs to promote wellbeing.
• Build trusting relationships so each person feels safe and understood.
• Encourage independence and develop essential life skills.
• Support activities at home, education programmes or in the community.
• Tailor support to individual needs in a team setting.
• Maintain accurate records of progress and incidents.
• Assist with cooking, cleaning and meal preparation.
