Job summary

Pharmacyupdate is recruiting for multiple Support Worker roles in Hoddesdon and surrounding areas to assist adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs within residential and supported living settings. These positions offer 1:1 or 2:1 support depending on individual needs.

You will provide person-centred care, help with daily living activities, promote independence, and support community access.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism or complex needs is desirable.
• A caring, compassionate and person-centred approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable adults.

Responsibilities

• Supporting individuals with daily living activities and personal care.
• Promoting independence, choice and dignity.
• Supporting individuals to access the community, activities and appointments.
• Providing support to adults with complex needs and behaviours that may challenge.
• Building positive relationships with individuals, families and colleagues.
• Following care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
• Encouraging individuals to achieve their personal goals and live fulfilling lives.
