Job summary

Active Assistance is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help a client in Longbridge, South Birmingham. The role offers part-time morning or evening shifts, with focus on enabling the client to live independently at home and maintain routines with dignity.

No prior experience is required as full specialist training and shadow shifts are provided; shifts include mornings (10am-2pm) and evenings (7:30pm-8:30pm), with some weekend work and a zero-hours contract flexible to lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Provide personal care with dignity and respect.
• Assist with medication support and administration as required.
• Support safe moving and handling to promote client safety.
• Encourage independence and support daily routines.
• Offer companionship and meaningful engagement to the client.

Responsibilities

• Support our male client who lives with a spinal cord injury to live independently and comfortably in his own home.
• This includes personal care, medication support, safe moving and handling, encouraging independence and supporting daily routines, providing companionship.
