Job summary

The British Red Cross Society is seeking a kind, reliable Support Worker to help people after hospital stays. You’ll provide practical and emotional support, welfare calls, shopping, and home visits, with a flexible hybrid/remote working arrangement.

No formal care experience is required; training will be provided. You will work as part of our Health and Care team, using a personalised support plan to help service users live more independently.

Responsibilities

• Providing practical and emotional support, including welfare calls, shopping, and home visits.
• Supporting adults after a hospital stay to help them recover safely at home.
• Responding to referrals from clinicians and community health professionals.
