Job summary

Advance Housing and Support in Lincoln is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help people with learning disabilities/autism to live the lives they choose. You will support individuals in daily living, attend medical appointments, assist with meals, and help them access social activities, while receiving training and opportunities for progression.

The role offers 30 contracted hours per week across Mon-Sun, with weekend rosters and a supportive team focused on quality care and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Good at working on your own and within a team.
• Excellent at communicating with people.
• Able to complete quality support records.
• Able to work Mon-Sunday. Rota 4 weeks in advance. Potential need for one/two weekends a month.
• Able to work every other weekends.
• Able to work between 7am and 10:30pm.
• Ability to follow a Support Plan and Risk Assessments and maintain customer records.
• Need to be literate and numerate in English
• Willingness and ability to achieve the Care Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required)
• Medication administration (if required)
• Support with preparing and cooking meals
• Support with attending medical appointments
• Support with social activities
• Support with independent skills
• Support with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry
• Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required
• Keeping up to date with your training
