Job summary

Priory Hillside, a residential service just outside Burnley, is seeking a Support Worker to join our team. We support three residents aged 17+ on the autistic spectrum or with learning disabilities, and sometimes mental health needs.

The role is full-time 42 hours per week, on-site in Hillside, with a pay of £13.75 per hour. You will work with qualified staff to assess and implement care plans, support daily living tasks, and build trust with residents and their families.

Qualifications

• UK driving license for a minimum of 3 years.
• Compassionate care approach with residents.
• Good communication to support residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a compassionate team to support residents’ wellbeing and implement individual care plans.
• Assist with personal care and daily living activities as directed.

Hillside has an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our team. Due to the needs of our residents, we can only consider female applicants for this role.

Priory Hillside is a residential service, located just outside of Burnley. We provide support to three individuals, aged 17 years and above, who are on the autistic spectrum or who have a learning disability. We also cater for those who may have a mental health diagnosis, including a personality disorder.

Set within a beautiful rural setting, in the South Pennines area, we aim to help residents create and achieve goals, in order to lead a fulfilled and enriched life.

What you'll be doing

• You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents
• You will ensure our residents have any personal needs or requirements met; including any personal care, participation in activities or support with daily living tasks
• You'll complete daily admin including updating person centred support and care plans, updating charts and completing accurate daily notes
• Maintain professional relationships whilst developing a good rapport with the people who use our service, their family, colleagues, visitors and other stakeholders
• Provide advice and guidance to less experienced staff undertaking similar duties.

• You will need to have had a UK driving license for a minimum of 3 years in order to take our residents out and about
