Job summary

Radis Community Care is looking for a Part Time Support Worker to join the team at The Old Maltings, Swaffham. The position offers a mix of morning and late shifts, approximately 20 hours per week, with cover on sickness and annual leave and alternate weekends.

The role involves supporting elderly residents in an Extra Care Scheme, assisting with mobility, personal care, meals and social activities to help maintain independence and dignity.

Qualifications

• Experience in care settings preferred.
• Ability to assist with personal care and mobility.
• Compassionate and respectful approach.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with mobility and daily activities in communal areas and bedrooms.
• Assist residents with personal care, washing, hygiene and dressing as required.
• Promote independence, choice, dignity and social engagement through group and individual activities.

Job description

Radis Community Care are looking for a Part Time Support Worker to join the team at The Old Maltings, Swaffham.

This will be a mixture of morning and late shifts, alternate weekends, 20 Hours +sickness and annual leave cover.

About the role

As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme you will be predominately supporting the elderly who are finding it difficult to cope due to physical frailty, enabling them to maintain independence. The role involves aiding residents with restricted mobility to move to dining areas at meal times, communal areas for social activities and to the privacy of their bedrooms at their request.

The role will require you to assist residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with residents, both individually and as a group.

The role is to promote resident’s independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the best standards of care.
