Job summary

Radis Community Care is looking for a Full Time Support Worker to join our team based at Freeman Court in Chelmsford. Freeman Court has 65 one and two bedroom apartments designed to help local residents retain as much independence and control over their lives as possible.

As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme, you will assist elderly residents with mobility, personal care and social activities, promoting independence, dignity and respect while delivering care to the highest standard.

Responsibilities

• Assist elderly residents with mobility, helping them move safely to dining areas, communal spaces and back to their rooms on request.
• Support people with personal care activities such as washing, hygiene and dressing.
• Engage residents in recreational and social activities individually and in groups.

Job description

Radis Community Care are looking for a Full Time Support Worker to join our team based at Freeman Court in Chelmsford.

Freeman Court has 65 one and two bedroom apartments designed to help local residents to retain as much independence and control over their lives as possible.

This will be a mix of morning and late shifts, alternate weekends, plus sickness and annual leave cover.

At this present time, we are unable to consider Sponsorship for this role.

About the role

As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme, your primary responsibility is to assist elderly individuals who are experiencing physical frailty, helping them maintain as much independence as possible. This includes supporting people we support with restricted mobility by aiding them in moving safely to dining areas for meals, communal spaces for social engagement, and back to the privacy of their own rooms when requested.

The role will require you to assist people we support with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with people, both individually and as a group.

The core aim of this role is to promote independence, choice, dignity, and respect, consistently delivering care to the highest standard.
