Job summary

Harley House Supported Living is seeking experienced and committed Support Workers to help people live independent and meaningful lives. The role offers £14.00 per hour, with full‑time hours and day/night shifts across Clacton-on-Sea, Ipswich and Great Bentley.

You'll support individuals to access the community, follow care plans, manage daily tasks and help with personal care. A driving licence is essential, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Previous care or support experience is essential.
• Driving licence is essential.
• Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.
• No visa sponsorship available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Support people to live as independently as possible and make their own choices.
• Follow individual support plans and risk assessments.
• Promote dignity, respect, choice and independence.
• Help access the local community and participate in activities.
• Assist with cooking, shopping and maintaining a clean home.
• Provide personal care when required, including hygiene tasks.
• Administer prescribed medication in line with training and procedures.
• Maintain accurate daily records using the digital care system.
• Act as a key worker and contribute to reviews of life quality.
• Attend handovers and communicate important information to colleagues.
• Identify changes in needs and report them promptly.
• Record and escalate accidents, incidents, near misses and safeguarding concerns.
• Work positively as part of a team and follow organisational policies.
