Job summary

CareTech is recruiting a Support Worker in Cheltenham to provide person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. You will assist with daily living skills, promote dignity and wellbeing, and help people access community activities.

The role involves rota shifts including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins. Full training and induction are provided, with opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards Level 2 in Health and Social Care
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
• Drivers desirable but not essential
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
• Support activities, appointments, and community access
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins
