Job summary

Transforming Support in West Sussex is hiring a Support Worker to provide consistent, respectful help to people living in their own homes, including those supported at the Harvest Rise service in Littlehampton.

You will support daily living activities, meals, health and appointments, and encourage independence while respecting choices and personal interests. A fulfilling role with ongoing training and development awaits.

Qualifications

• Has at least six months’ experience working within a care or support setting.
• Can work day or night shifts, including alternate weekends.
• Must have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support that protects each person’s dignity, rights and choices.
• Help individuals develop daily living skills and become more independent.
• Support people with their tenancy, health, medication and finances.
• Encourage community involvement, relationships, personal interests, education and employment.
• Contributing to support plans, assessments, reviews and positive risk taking.
• Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues and professional teams.
• Following safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and quality procedures.
