The role

As a Support Worker, you will provide consistent, respectful support to people living in their own homes.

This is not about doing everything for someone. It is about helping each person do as much as possible for themselves, make informed choices and build a life that reflects their interests, goals and individual needs.

The difference you make could involve helping someone manage their home, prepare a meal, look after their health, attend an appointment, pursue a personal interest or become more involved in their community.

You will take time to understand what matters to each person and provide the right balance of practical support, reassurance and encouragement.

What you’ll be doing
  • Providing person centred support that protects each person’s dignity, rights and choices
  • Helping individuals develop daily living skills and become more independent

  • Contributing to support plans, assessments, reviews and positive risk taking
  • Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues and professional teams

  • Can work independently while contributing positively to a team
  • Can maintain accurate written records and manage their time effectively
  • Is able to work day or night shifts, including alternate weekends

Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs or complex needs would be advantageous.

Full training will be provided to help you develop your knowledge and succeed in the role.

You must already have the right to work in the UK, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for these roles.

What you’ll get
  • £14.00 per hour, equivalent to £28,028 per annum
  • Discretionary £1,000 annual bonus
  • 28 days’ annual leave including bank holidays
  • Fully funded enhanced DBS check
  • A predictable rolling two week rota
