Job summary

Newark Recruitment is seeking a Support Worker to provide person-centred support to individuals with diverse care needs in the United Kingdom. You will assist with daily living activities, promote independence and engage individuals in community activities.

Full training will be provided; visa sponsorship is not available. You will work as part of a care team to ensure safe, respectful and high-quality support tailored to each person’s needs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to individuals with a range of needs.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice and control in daily life.
• Support with daily living activities and personal care where required.
• Assist with meal preparation, nutrition and hydration.
• Support individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs or complex needs.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational and community activities.
• Assist with appointments and access to community services.
• Follow individual support plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
• Provide emotional support and promote wellbeing.
• Communicate effectively with individuals, colleagues and professionals.
• Monitor and report changes in health, behaviour or wellbeing.
• Maintain a safe, clean and supportive environment.
• Work effectively as part of a wider support team.
