Job summary

Autism Plus is seeking dedicated Support Workers to provide person-centred support in Hull's Supported Living Services. You will help individuals with autism, learning disabilities and mental health needs to live as independently as possible, pursue interests, and stay connected with the local community.

Training is provided, and a full-time 3-week induction is required. The role involves a 2-week rolling shift pattern, including days, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays, with driving licence

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in their home following Care Plans and assess needs
• Provide practical help with household tasks and daily routines
• Offer emotional support by talking with and listening to service users
• Adapt communication to each person’s needs and preferences
• Respect privacy, wellbeing and dignity at all times
• Support and pursue agreed strategies to manage behaviours
• Monitor and support healthcare needs, including administering medication where applicable
