Job summary

Thera Group is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help adults with learning disabilities in daily living, development of skills and independent living. No prior experience is required as free, Skills for Care endorsed training is provided; compassionate, proactive candidates are encouraged to apply.

You may work in clients’ homes or out in the community, with a strong emphasis on person-centred support and positive outcomes. Training and progression opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• No previous experience or qualifications required; free, Skills for Care endorsed full training will be provided.
• Compassionate, caring, confident and resilient
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident, articulate and professional
• Keenness to learn in a fast-paced environment and creatively solve problems
• Desire to embrace values and vision and have fun!

Responsibilities

• Support adults with a learning disability in daily living activities.
• Help develop new skills and plan/manage their own home.
• Provide personal and emotional support, assist with leisure, employment and travel.
• Work in people’s own homes or in the community; adapt support to individual needs.
