Job summary

Hatzfeld Care in the United Kingdom is seeking a committed Support Worker to assist residents with personal and daily living tasks in a home environment. You will support independence, follow individual care plans, and work as part of a team under the Registered Manager.

Key duties include helping with household routines, medication administration, attending meetings, and attending training sessions. NVQ2+ preferred; sponsorship not offered; must live in the UK.

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 or above preferred, training and personal development provided.
• Experience working with people who have mental health conditions and/or dementia desirable.
• Reliable, trustworthy, enthusiastic with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide support with household, personal and group tasks; reinforce skills.
• Becoming a Key worker with a Resident; plan and organise their care and liaise with professionals.
• Develop, prepare, monitor and review care and personal plans; update the care app.
• Attend interviews, meetings and staff supervision; participate in training.
• Adhere to home policies and procedures; attend and participate in house and staff meetings.
• Administer or assist in administration of medication and maintain medication records.

Job description

At Hatzfeld we provide residential care for adults with varying needs such as Asperger’s, Schizophrenia or eating disorders to age-related illnesses or Dementia. A person-centred care plan is produced tailored to each individual’s specific needs.

With residential care services in Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire we have a wide range of different career opportunities available supporting adults with varying levels of need, providing person centred, responsive care.

As a Support Worker you will be expected to work as part of a team by supporting the residents of the home. Providing practical support as well as encouraging independence in line with the wishes of the residents and the requirements of the management.

Must live in the UK to apply. Sponsorship will not be offered.

Responsibilities for a Support Worker

• To provide support and encouragement in tasks of household, personal and group management, including the following;
• To reinforce skills already learned.
• Becoming a Key worker with a Resident and planning and organising their care.
• Liaise with professional and other significant people.
• Assist to develop, prepare, monitor, maintain and review care and personal plans and update on the care app.
• Attend interviews and other meetings as required.
• Work on a flexible basis as required by the Registered Manager.
• Be involved in regular supervision sessions with the Registered Manager.
• Attend all training courses provided by the company.
• Attend and support residents' house meetings.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings.
• Be responsible for adhering to the home's philosophy, policies, and procedures.
• Administer/assist in administration of medication and maintain medication records.
