Job summary

Hatzfeld Care Limited is seeking a Bank Support Worker to assist residents with daily living and care needs in a residential setting across our Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, and East Yorkshire homes.

You will join a team that supports adults with varying needs, encouraging independence while following individual care plans. The role involves flexible hours, with no guaranteed shifts, and requires eligibility to work in the UK.

Qualifications

  • NVQ 2 or above preferred; training and personal development provided.
  • Reliable and trustworthy.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience working with people who have mental health conditions and/or dementia desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support with household, personal and group activities.
  • Reinforce skills learned and act as a Key worker with a resident.
  • Liaise with professionals and significant people in the resident's care.
  • Develop, monitor and review care and personal plans.
  • Attend meetings and training as required.
  • Work flexibly as required by the Registered Manager.
  • Attend and support residents' house meetings and staff meetings.
  • Administer/assist in medication and maintain records.

At Hatzfeld we provide residential care for adults with varying needs such as Asperger’s, Schizophrenia or eating disorders to age-related illnesses or Dementia. A person‑centred care plan is produced tailored to each individual’s specific needs.

With residential care services in Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire we have a wide range of different career opportunities available supporting adults with varying levels of need, providing person centred, responsive care.

As a Bank Support Worker you will be expected to work as part of a team by supporting the residents of the home. Providing practical support as well as encouraging independence in line with the wishes of the residents and the requirements of the management.

Responsibilities for a Support Worker
  • To provide support and encouragement in tasks of household, personal and group management, including the following;
  • To reinforce skills already learned.
  • Becoming a Key worker with a Resident and planning and organising their care.
  • Liaise with professional and other significant people.
  • Assist to develop, prepare, monitor, maintain and review care and personal plans and update on the care app.
  • Attend interviews and other meetings as required.
  • Work on a flexible basis as required by the Registered Manager.
  • Be involved in regular supervision sessions with the Registered Manager.
  • Attend all training courses provided by the company.
  • Attend and support residents' house meetings.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings.
  • Be responsible for adhering to the home's philosophy, policies, and procedures.
  • Administer/assist in administration of medication and maintain medication records.
