Job summary

Home Care Direct in Wisbech is seeking a Female Support Worker to provide 1:1 support with daily routines, personal care and mobility assistance for a client who uses a wheelchair. You will help with moving and handling and accompany her on activities.

The role requires a full clean UK driving licence (21+ for insurance) and a calm, observant approach. Previous care and brain injury experience are essential, with a focus on safety, independence and compassionate, consistent support.

Qualifications

• Full clean UK driving licence (21+ for insurance purposes).
• Eligibility to Work in the UK; Home Care Direct does not offer sponsorship or work visas.
• Calm, observant and responsive.
• Previous care experience essential.
• Brain Injury Experience is essential.
• Committed to providing safe, respectful and consistent support.
• Comfortable around animals.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 support with daily routines and activities
• Personal care and mobility support
• Assisting with Moving and Handling
• Supporting with community access and hobbies, including outdoor activities
• Assisting with household tasks and general organisation
• Supporting with appointments and time away at her caravan
• Promoting independence while ensuring safety at all times
