Job summary

CareTech is recruiting a Support Worker for Hampden Road in Wisbech to support adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. A clean UK manual driving licence is required to drive the service vehicle for appointments and trips.

The role is permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) on a rota, with evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Full training and structured induction are provided.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated caring attitude, able to support adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs.
• Willingness to work in a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins.
• Full driving licence required to drive service vehicle for residents’ appointments and trips.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans.
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required.
• Promote independence, dignity and wellbeing.
• Support activities, appointments and community access.
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team.
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins.
