Job summary

Balance Support is hiring a Support Worker/Driver to provide journeys support and client assistance at our day centres. You will drive a passenger service vehicle, assist with pick-up and drop-off, and uphold our core values of independence, partnership and professionalism. Training and ongoing development are provided.

The role operates 8:00 am – 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with benefits including London living wage and pension. Previous care experience is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• Clean, current D1 driving license.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assistance during journeys and mobility.
• Carry out pick-up and drop-off duties at day centres.
• Demonstrate Balance values in conduct and approach.
• Maintain and update client and related records accurately.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding and inclusion policies.
• Support clients with daily activities to promote independence.
• Communicate effectively with families, colleagues and clients.
