Job summary

Norwood in Greater London is seeking dedicated Support Workers to join our team, supporting adults with complex needs in a residential setting. You’ll work as part of a supportive team delivering person-centred care and building positive relationships.

This role offers the opportunity to help individuals live meaningful lives with dignity, choice and independence through everyday activities, health appointments and social outings.

Responsibilities

• Support people with their personal routines including personal care and meal preparation
• Encourage independence through life skills like budgeting, shopping and social outings
• Help people enjoy hobbies and interests: swimming, music, arts and outdoor activities
• Accompany residents to health appointments and trips out
• Work closely with our Physical Activity Practitioner, including in the hydrotherapy pool
• Contribute to household tasks and maintain a welcoming home environment
• Use a range of communication methods (Makaton, objects of reference, expressions)
• Drive the home vehicle for activities and appointments (only, if you’re a driver)

Your Day-to-Day
