Norwood is seeking dedicated Support Workers to join our team, assisting adults with complex needs in a residential setting. You’ll deliver person-centred care, build trusting relationships, and help individuals lead meaningful, independent lives.

Responsibilities

• Support people with personal routines including personal care and meal preparation.
• Encourage independence through life skills like budgeting, shopping and social outings.
• Help people enjoy hobbies and interests: swimming, music, arts and outdoor activities.
• Accompany residents to health appointments and trips out.
• Work closely with our Physical Activity Practitioner, including in the hydrotherapy pool.
• Contribute to household tasks and maintain a welcoming home environment.
• Use a range of communication methods (Makaton, objects of reference, expressions).
• Drive the home vehicle for activities and appointments (only if you’re a driver).

Your Day-to-Day

Your role will be varied and active. You’ll:
