Job summary

Corbenic Camphill Community in rural Perthshire is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to provide person-centred care and practical support to adults with learning disabilities, helping them live as independently as possible within a warm home environment.

You will work as part of a dedicated house team, supporting daily routines, personal care, health appointments and community activities, while also helping with cooking, cleaning and other household tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in health or social care is desirable.
• SVQ in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
• Current SSSC registration.
• Relevant care training.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care tailored to each resident's individual needs.
• Support with personal care, daily living activities and promoting independence.
• Administer medication in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Support residents to attend healthcare appointments, workshops and community activities.
• Contribute to care planning and maintain accurate records.
• Promote residents' rights, choices and wellbeing.
• Prepare meals and carry out domestic duties including cleaning and laundry.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide outstanding care.
• Maintain high standards in line with Health & Social Care Standards, SSSC Codes of Practice and Corbenic policies.
• Participate in training, supervision and ongoing professional development.
• Take part in sleepovers and a rota that includes evenings and weekends.

About the role

As a Support Worker, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care and practical support to residents, enabling them to live as independently as possible while promoting choice, dignity and wellbeing.

Working as part of a dedicated house team, you'll support residents with their daily routines, personal care, health appointments, activities and communication, while also helping to create a warm and welcoming home through cooking, cleaning and other household tasks.
