Job summary

New Way Recruitment LTD is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist adults with learning disabilities and complex care needs in a UK service. The role involves 12-hour rolling shifts (days and nights) with an emphasis on person-centred support, dignity, and independence.

You will help with daily activities, personal care, and medication support while promoting community participation and safe, respectful care environments.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or complex care needs is desirable.
• Experience supporting individuals with autism, behaviours that challenge, or mental health needs is advantageous.
• A caring, patient, and compassionate approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred support.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends where required.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with learning disabilities and complex care needs.
• Encourage independence, choice, and community participation.
• Provide personal care where required.
• Support individuals with positive behaviour support plans.
• Assist with medication and daily living activities.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with the people you support.
• Maintain accurate records and follow individual care plans.
• Promote dignity, respect, and person-centred care at all times.
