Job summary

Homes for Support is recruiting caring and reliable individuals to support children and young people aged 5-18 in residential homes in Crewe, Cheshire. You do not need prior children’s home experience, as training and development will be provided.

Roles involve creating safe environments, supporting daily routines, planning activities and helping children build confidence and independence, while following care plans and safeguarding guidelines.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• No prior children’s homes experience required; training and development offered.
• Ability to work in residential setting with care for children aged 5–18.

Responsibilities

• Support routines, meals, education, appointments and family time.
• Plan activities, hobbies, days out and celebrations.

This is rewarding work, but it can be challenging. Children may communicate distress through behaviour, so you will need to stay calm, maintain safe boundaries and avoid taking difficult moments personally.
