An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join their Chesterfield service. This part-time role involves providing compassionate support to individuals, helping them live independently and engage with their community. We are looking for a Support Worker to join our Service based in Chesterfield on a permanent basis, part time basis (30 hours per week).
Shifts will be spread across mornings, afternoons, evenings and sleep ins, weekends and bank holidays. The ability to work in the evening and at weekends is a requirement for this position.
About the Service
We are currently support one gentleman and one young lady and we have a team of up to support workers working at this Service. The people we support enjoys being out in the community and in particular visiting the shops, going to pub and doing things in the community.
The people we support at this Service may show challenging behaviour, so experience with this would be ideal. However, previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided, including full positive behaviour support training.
What does a Support Worker do?
As a Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will help to ensure the people we support live a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life. You will have excellent communication skills and be a naturally caring and patient personality. Typical responsibilities may include:
