Job summary

Allied Care Limited in Whitehaven is looking for committed care staff to join our friendly, professional team. You will support adults with mental ill-health and learning disabilities in a small 11-bed home, helping with daily living, personal care and community activities.

We operate 12-hour shifts with weekend work and offer full-time permanent contracts, excellent induction, supervision, and paid training from day one; NVQ on probation. A driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Applicant must hold a driving licence.
• Commitment to compassionate care and team support.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with mental ill-health conditions and learning disabilities in a care home environment, including assisting with daily living skills, personal care, and community-based activities.
• Assist with behaviours which may present as challenging.
• Provide 24/7 care, including weekend shifts and 12-hour shift patterns.
• Probation includes the opportunity to obtain NVQ.

Whitehaven is a registered care home with 11 beds and currently has 11 lovely people residing with us who receive support from our friendly kind staff team, we would love you to join the team.

We are looking to hire committed and compassionate staff to join our friendly, professional team, whether you have experience or not. We will offer NVQ upon passing of probation.

About the role

Responsibilities and Duties

Our staff, support adults with mental ill-health conditions and learning disabilities in a care home environment, including supporting with daily living skill development, personal care, community-based activities, and working with some behaviours which may present as challenging.

Our clients require care 24/7 therefore weekend work is required but a shared responsibility to give you some free weekend time, this ensures our clients always receive the support that they need. Shift patterns are 12-hour shifts. We can offer part-time contracts with the opportunity of an enhanced rate over time although this is not mandatory.
