Join BallyCara as a Support Worker on the idyllic Redcliffe Peninsula and surrounding suburbs (Scarborough, Redcliffe, Clontarf, Deception Bay, etc.) to make a meaningful impact by providing compassionate care and support to individuals in need.

This position works in the community.

Are you a dedicated Support Worker with a passion for empowering individuals to maintain their independence and enjoy meaningful daily activities?

BallyCara, a leading Aged Care organisation, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Qualified Support Worker to join our team on the Redcliffe Peninsula and in surrounding suburbs.

We’re looking for someone who is ready to start immediately and is available for at least three days per week. We have a variety of shifts available, including afternoons and some evenings, with the latest shift finishing around 8:30pm. This flexibility allows you to balance work with your lifestyle while making a meaningful difference in people's lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with personal care, mobility, and domestic tasks.
• Provide social support and facilitate community and wellness activities.
• Communicate effectively with your team leader about client needs and progress.
• Transport clients to appointments and social events.
• Travel throughout the community between client homes (paid kilometers).

Desired Skills and Experience

What We're Looking For!

• Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or Community Services, or current nursing students who have completed an aged care placement.
• Previous experience in aged care or community services is highly regarded.
• Basic computer proficiency with accurate documentation skills.
• Strong ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with supervisors.
• Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude towards aging and aged care.
• Current Australian Open Driver’s License and reliable vehicle.
• Experience supporting clients with dementia is highly desirable.
• Sign language skills would be a valuable asset.
• Up to date National Police Check clearance or ability to get one through BallyCara recruitment process
• First Aid and CPR certifications.
• COVID-19 vaccinations in line with Government recommendations.
