Keys Group is seeking a Support Worker for the Builth Wells area (LD5). The role requires a Full UK Driving License and involves 35 hours per week, with flexibility for days, nights and sleep-in shifts.

Based in Llanwrtyd Wells, you will support adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs, helping them to maintain routines, develop skills and participate in activities.

• Full UK manual driving license required.
• Flexible working days, nights and sleep-in shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to residents in the service.
• Promote independence and help residents lead a fulfilling life.
• Support and encourage development of personal skills through activities.
• Assist with health care needs, accompany to routine appointments and administer medication.
• Teach life skills such as budgeting, paying bills and shopping.
• Assist with personal care and domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking.

About Bryn Irfon:

At Bryn Irfon we provide residential support for 8 adults with Learning Disabilities, challenging needs and individuals with communication difficulties. We can also support people who may have Mental Health needs. We work with people with varied abilities and needs. We encourage and motivate each person to feel good about themselves. We enable people to gain confidence and do the things that are important to them and ultimately to lead happy and fulfilled lives.

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day-to-day support and routine of the people within the service including:

• Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
• Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
• Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
• Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
• Assisting with personal care as required.
• Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
• Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
